Comment
In the Rana (Rana) johnsi species group according to the original publication, where molecular markers and comparative morphology were described. Wang, Zhang, Cai, Ding, and Zhang, 2022, MtDNA, Part B, 7: 676–677, reported on the complete mt genome and on this basis placed this as the sister taxon of Rana johnsi.
