Rana zhijinensis Luo, Xiao, and Zhou in Yan, He, Luo, Xu, Deng, Xiao, and Zhou, 2022, Zool. Syst., Beijing, 47: 283. Holotype: GZNU2018081606, by original designation. Type locality: "Guiguo Town (26°33'12.75"N, 105°50'26.90"E; elev. 1525 m), Zhijin County, Guizhou Province, China".

Zhijin Brown Frog (original publication).

Distribution

Known only from the type locality (Guiguo Town, Zhijin County, Guizhou Province, China, elevation 1525 m) but expected to be found more widely.

Comment

Previous confused with Rana chevronta according to the original publication, where comparative morphology and molecular markers were detailed as well as placement in the Rana japonica group, and the sister taxon of Rana chaochiaoensis.
