Lorphengsy, Nguyen, Poyarkov, Wu, Pawangkhanant, Passorn, Che, and Suwannapoom, 2021, Biodiversity Data J., 9 (e67667): 1–15, employing molecular assay, redelimited the range, extending it to Thailand. Stuart, Seateun, Sivongxay, and Phimmachak, 2025 "2024", in Wildlife Lao PDR: 43, summarized literature, taxonomy, habitat, and detailed range for Laos.
