Comment
The sister taxon of Kurixalus idootocus according to the original publication, but subsequently placed as the sister of a clade composed of Kurixalus raoi, Kurixalus silvaenaias, Kurixalus idiootocus and Kurixalus inexpectatus according to Mo, Sun, Chen, Yu, and Du, 2023, Animals, 13 (2754): 1–13. Pang, Tang, Yu, and Zhou, 2024, Biodiversity Data J., 12(e130411): 1–14, provided the first description a female and provided a genetically-confirmed record from Shilin, Yunnan, China, and provided a dot map of the species.
