Rhacophorus penanorum Dehling, 2008, Salamandra, 44: 194. Holotype: ZMB70718, by original designation. Type locality: "from a small stream, 45 minutes by foot below camp four on the southern flank of Gunung Mulu, approx. 1650 m elev., Gunung Mulu National Park, Miri Division, Sarawak, Malaysia".

Common Names

Penan Flying Frog (Haas, Das, Hertwig, Bublies, and Schulz-Schaeffer, 2022, Guide to the Tadpoles of Borneo: 241).

Distribution

Known only from the type locality, a small permanent headstream of Sungai Tapin on the southern flank of Gunung Mulu (ca. 1650 m elevation), Gunung Mulu National Park, Miri Division, Sarawak, Malaysia (Borneo).

Haas, Hertwig, Krings, Braskamp, Dehling, Min, Jankowski, Schweizer, and Das, 2012, Zootaxa, 3328: 1-19, reported on larval morphology. Haas, Das, Hertwig, Bublies, and Schulz-Schaeffer, 2022, Guide to the Tadpoles of Borneo: 241–243, summarized the knowledge of habitat, reproduction, larval morphology and coloration.
