Distribution
Known from Heishiding Nature Reserve, Fengkai County, Guangdong Province, and Mount Dayao, Jinxiu, Guangxi, in China, to Tay Yen Tu Nature Reserve, Bac Giang Province, Vietnam, 350 to 800 m elevation.

Natural Resident: China, People's Republic of, Vietnam
Comment
The sister taxon of Liuixalus calcarius according to the original publication. See revision by Pham, Nguyen, Nguyen, Nguyen, Orlov, van Schingen-Khan, and Ziegler, 2018, Russ. J. Herpetol., 25: 121–125, who also provided the first record for Vietnam.
