Natl. Hist. Nat.: 51. Type locality: "Mao-son", Tonkin, Vietnam (at altitude of 1200 m according to Bossuyt and Dubois, 2001, Zeylanica, 6: 48, on the basis of museum records).

Distribution
Northern Vietnam (400-1500 m elevation in Vinh Phu, Bac Thai, Cao Bang, Ha Giang, and Lang Son Provinces); presumably to be found in adjacent Guangxi, China.
