Known from the type locality (Bukit Lanjak, Lubok Antu District, Second Division, Sarawak, Malaysia [Borneo]), 840 m elevation, and central and southern Sumatra at elevation between 980 and 1429 m elevation.

Natural Resident: Indonesia, Malaysia, Malaysia, East (Sarawak and/or Sabah)

Most similar to Philautus longicrus according to the original publication. See photograph, map, description of geographic range and habitat, and conservation status in Stuart, Hoffmann, Chanson, Cox, Berridge, Ramani, and Young, 2008, Threatened Amph. World: 530.
