Ixalus schmackeri Boettger, 1892, Kat. Batr. Samml. Mus. Senckenb. Naturforsch. Ges.: 17. Holotype: SMF 7035 (formerly 1099a), according to XXX. Type locality: "Mt. Halcone, Mindoro, Philippinen".
Ixalus mindorensis Boulenger, 1897, Ann. Mag. Nat. Hist., Ser. 6, 19: 107. Syntypes: "several specimens"—including BMNH 1947.2.6.31–34 (formerly 1896.12.11.33–37), and CAS according to Bossuyt and Dubois, 2001, Zeylanica, 6: 35, who designated BMNH 1947.2.6.31 (formerly 1896.12.11.33) as lectotype and described it on page 78–79. Type locality: "Mindoro (Mount Dulangan, 5000 feet)", Mindoro Oriental Province, Philippines. Synonymy by Inger, 1954, Fieldiana, Zool., 33: 404.
