Horton Plains and Pattipola in the Central hills of Sri Lanka, at elevations of 1850-2300 m.

Most similar to Pseudophilautus malcolmsmithi, Pseudophilautus rugatus, Pseudophilautus cuspis, and Pseudophilautus zorro (all as Philautus), according to the original publication.
