Pseudophilautus bambaradeniyai Wickramasinghe, Vidanapathirana, Rajeev, Ariyarathne, Chanaka, Priyantha, Bandara, and Wickramasinghe, 2013, J. Threatened Taxa, 5: 3793. Holotype: NMSL 2013.01.01 NH, by original designation. Type locality: "Sripada (Peak Wilderness), Ratnapura District, Sabaragamuwa Province, Sri Lanka (06° 48’ 31” N & 80° 8’ 14” E; 1334 m)".

Distribution

Known only from the type locality (Sripada Peak, Peak Wilderness, Ratnapura District, Sabaragamuwa Province, Sri Lanka, 06° 48’ 31” N & 80° 8’ 14” E; 1334 m elevation).

Comment

Ellepola, Herath, Manamendra-Arachchi, Wijayathilaka, Senevirathne, Pethiyagoda, and Meegaskumbura, 2021, PLoS One, 16(10: e0258594): 10, noted that on molecular criteria alone this nominal species would likely be considered conspecific with Pseudophilautus frankenbergi that morphological data suggest that it is an independent lineage-species and the Genbank accession KP272047 is misidentified as Pseudophilautus bambaradenyai.
