Distribution

Known only from the type locality (Cherrapunji (25.27696°N, 91.69745°E, elevation 1380 m a.s.l.), approximately one km east of Nohkalikai Waterfall, East Khasi Hills, Meghalaya, India); possibly extending into adjacent Bangladesh.

Comment

In the Raorchestes rezakhani group, the sister taxon of Raorchestes mawsynramensis according to the original publication, where advertisement call, comparative morphology, morphometrics, and molecular markers were detailed.
