Common Names
Fast-calling Shrub Frog (original publication; Dinesh, Radhakrishnan, Deepak, and Kulkarni, 2023, Fauna India Checklist, vers. 5.0 : 13).
Distribution
Endemic to the Western Ghats and currently known only from elevations ranging between 1000 to 1450 m elevation at two localities in Kerala, India: Kadalar in Idukki district (south of Palghat gap) and Siruvani in Palakkad district (north of Palghat gap).

Comment
In the Raorchestes varius group, the sister taxon of Raorchestes coonoorensis, according to the original publication, where the external morphology and vocalization were described.
