Raorchestes echinatus Vijayakumar, Dinesh, Prabhu, and Shanker, 2014, Zootaxa, 3893: 468. Holotype: ZSI/WGRC/V/A/871, by original designation. Type locality: "a grassland site (13.4228 N, 75.7695 E), Baba Budan Massif (...), Western Ghats, [Karnataka,] Peninsular India".
Common Names
Spiny Bush Frog (Dinesh, Radhakrishnan, Deepak, and Kulkarni, 2023, Fauna India Checklist, vers. 5.0 : 13).
Distribution
Higher elevations (1464 to 1864 m) in the Baba Budan Massif in the Western Ghats of Karnataka, India; possibly to be found in the adjoining Kudremukh and Pushpagiri massifs.
