Chanda, 2002, Handb. Indian Amph.: 199 (as Philautus sanctisylvaticus) and 200 (as Raorchestes terebrans), provided a brief account. See map, description of geographic range and habitat, and conservation status in Stuart, Hoffmann, Chanson, Cox, Berridge, Ramani, and Young, 2008, Threatened Amph. World: 531. See Mirza, Warekar, Mohapatra, Raju, Pratil, Dutta, and Pal, 2019, Zootaxa, 4683: 563-576, for revisionary discussion.  Deuti, Sethy, and Ray, 2014, Rec. Zool. Surv.
