Distribution

Endemic to the Western Ghats and currently known only from an elevation of about 750 m at its type locality (Periya) that lies north of Palghat gap in the Wayanad district of Kerala State, India.

Comment

In the Raorchestes chromasynchysi group and the sister taxon of Raorchestes vellikkannan according to the original publication, where the external morphology, vocalization, range, and habitat were discussed.
