Rhacophorus borneensis Matsui, Shimada, and Sudin, 2013, Curr. Herpetol., Kyoto, 

32: 116. Holotype: BORNEENSIS 22411, by original designation. Type locality: "Camel Trophy field station (4° 7482′ N, 116° 8886′ E; ca. 1050 m asl.) of the Maliau Basin Conservation Area, Sandakan Division, Sabah, East Malaysia."

English Names

Distribution

Known from the type locality (Maliau Basin Conservation Area, Sandakan Division), Siptang District, Sabah, and from Batang Ai National Park, Sarawak, East Malaysia (Borneo).

Comment

In the Rhacophorus reinwardtii group according to the original publication. Haas, Kueh, Joseph, bin Asri, Das, Hagmann, Schwander, and Hertwig, 2018, Evol. Syst., 2: 89–114, provided a brief account of morphology and natural history for the Sabah population. Haas, Das, Hertwig, Bublies, and Schulz-Schaeffer, 2022, Guide to the Tadpoles of Borneo: 385–387, summarized the knowledge of habitat, reproduction, larval morphology and coloration.
