Comment
Bain and Nguyen, 2002, Herpetol. Rev., 33: 64, provided the second locality for this species. Orlov, Murphy, Ananjeva, Ryabov, and Ho, 2002, Russ. J. Herpetol., 9: 97, provided the statement of range. Stuart, 1999, in Duckworth et al. (eds.), Wildlife in Lao PDR: 49, reported the species in Laos. Nguyen, Ho, and Nguyen, 2005, Checklist Amph. Rept. Vietnam: 40, provided specific localities for Vietnam. Bain, Nguyen, and Doan, 2007, Herpetol. Rev., 38: 111, provided records for Thua Thien-Hue Province, Vietnam, and briefly discussed the range. Orlov, Nguyen, and Ho, 2008, Russ. J. Herpetol., 15: 67–84, provided a photograph and a key to differentiate this species from others in Vietnam. See photograph, map, description of geographic range and habitat, and conservation status in Stuart, Hoffmann, Chanson, Cox, Berridge, Ramani, and Young, 2008, Threatened Amph. World: 539. Hendrix, Nguyen, Böhme, and Ziegler, 2008, Herpetol. Notes, 1: 23–31, provided a record from Quang Binh Province, central Vietnam. Nguyen, Matsui, Eto, and Orlov, 2014, Russ. J. Herpetol., 21: 274, suggested on the basis of 434 bp of mtDNA a close relationship with Rhacophorus annamensis.
