Distribution
Known from three localities, (1) the type locality (Tseminyu village, 30 km north of Kohima, Nagaland, 1421 m elevation), (2) ca. 297 km northeast at Reiek (1196 m elevation), Mamit District, Mizoram, and (3) Namdapha National Park and Tiger Reserve, Changlang District, Arunachal Pradesh, India. northeastern India.

Comment
In the subgenus Theloderma, Theloderma leporosum species group of Poyarkov, Orlov, Moiseeva, Pawangkhanant, Ruangsuwan, Vassilieva, Galoyan, Nguyen, and Gogoleva, 2015, Russ. J. Herpetol., 22: 276. Das and Dutta, 2007, Hamadryad, 31: 154–181, noted no larval descriptions in the literature. Lalmuansanga, Hmar, Lalbiakzuala, Lalrinsanga, and Lalremsanga, 2020, Herpetol. Rev., 51: 270, provided the record from Reiek, Mizoram, India, and discussed the range. Variya, Pansa, Yomcha, and Lalremsanga, 2023, Herpetol. Rev., 54: 240–241, provided, along with a brief natural history note, a record from Changlang District, Arunachal Pradesh, India.
