Distribution
Amamioshima, Kakeromajima, Ukejima, Yorojima (see comment) and Tokunoshima Islands of the Amami Group, Ryukyu Islands, Japan.
Comment
Nakamura, Takahashi, and Ota, 2009, Curr. Herpetol., Kyoto, 28: 28-33, discussed the disappearance of this species from Yoronjima in the Ryukyu Archipelago, Japan. See comment under Zhangixalus viridis for access to literature for when this taxon was considered a subspecies of that one.
