Comment

The sister taxon of Rhacophorus dorsoviridis and previously confused with that species according to the original publication. Poyarkov, Nguyen, Popov, Geissler, Pawangkhanant, Neang, Suwannapoom, and Orlov, 2021, Russ. J. Herpetol., 28 (3A): 65, apparently regarded, without explanation, the Rhacophorus dorsoviridis sample (JX219427) from Sa Pa, Lao Cai, Vietnam in Mo, Chen, Liao, and Zhou, 2016, Asian Herpetol. Res., 7: 139–150, to represent Rhacophorus pinglongensis. Poyarkov et al. (2021) also cited Li, Li, Murphy, Rao, and Zhang, 2012, Zool. Scripta, 41: 557–570, for records from Vietnam. However, this is confusing inasmuch as while the Rhacophorus dorsoviridis records in Li et al. (2012) may be these specimens; this was not made explicity by Poyarkov et al. (2021).
