Distribution
Municipios of Guaduas, Pandi, Supatá, Venecia, and Villeta, Cundinamarca, Colombia, on the western slope of the southern Cordillera Oriental, 100 to 2400 m elevation.

Raffaëlli, 2013, Urodeles du Monde, 2nd ed.: 335, provided a brief account, photograph, and range map. Angarita-Sierra, Saldarriaga-Gómez, Sánchez, Acosta-Galvis, Medina-Ovalle, Solano-Moreno, Ulloa-Rengifo, Guevara-Guevara, Torres-Ramirez, Curaca-Fierro, Cabrera-Amaya, Infante-Betancour, Londoño-Montaño, Albarán-Montoya, and Peña-Baez, 2020, PeerJ, 8 (e9901): 1–26, reported new localities and discussed habitat, natural history, and range.
