Oedipina (Oedopinola) fortunensis Köhler, Ponce, and Batista, 2007, Senckenb. Biol., 87: 214. Holotype: SMF 85064, by original designation. Type locality: "Reserva Forestal Fortuna, near Finca de Gustavo Santamaría, 8° 43′ 52″ N, 82° 15′ 35″ W, 1270 m, Chiriquí, Panama".

Known only from the type locality (Reserva Forestal Fortuna, Chiriquí, Panama).

Comment

Most similar to Oedipina savagei according to the original publication. Himes and Enge, 2013, Herpetol. Rev., 44 102, reported on a third specimen from the vicinity of the type locality. Köhler, 2011, Amph. Cent. Am.: 82–90, compared this species with others from Central America and provided a map and photograph. Raffaëlli, 2013, Urodeles du Monde, 2nd ed.: 376, provided a brief account, photograph, and range map.
