Comment

Likely confused with Oedipina taylori according to the original publication. Ariano-Sánchez and Dix, 2010, Herpetol. Rev., 41: 505, provided a record of Oedipina taylori that is likely assignable to the recently named Oedipina motaguae from the Province of Zacapa, Guatemala, and commented on the habitat. Raffaëlli, 2013, Urodeles du Monde, 2nd ed.: 384, provided a brief account, photograph, and range map. Raffaëlli, 2022, Salamanders & Newts of the World: 873–874, provided an account summarizing life history, population status, and distribution (including a polygon map).
