Distribution

Endemic to the cloud forests of montane central Veracruz, Mexico, from Gentil south to El Mirador, 2181 to 2676 m elevation.

Comment

Color pattern, life history, comparative morphology, genetic markers, and conservation status detailed in the original publication, where the species was assigned to the Pseudoeurycea juarezi group and likely the sister taxon of Pseudoeurycea ruficauda. Peralta-Hernández, 2023, Phyllomedusa, 22: 43–47, reported on range and ecology.
