Tylototriton (Yaotriton) panhai Nishikawa, Khonsue, Pomchote, and Matsui, 2013, Zootaxa, 3737: 275. Holotype: THNHM 2800, by original designation. Type locality: "Phu Ruea, Phu Luang Wildlife Sanctuary, Loei Province, Thailand (17°29’59’’ N, 101°20’30’’ E, 1183 m asl)".

Phitsanulok (Phu Hin Rong Kla National Park), Loei Province (Phu Luang Wildlife Sanctuary and Phu Suan Sai National Par), and Phetchabun (Phy Thap Boek, Lom Kao District) Provinces, Thailand; reported in Borsan Village, Botene District, Xaignabouli Province, Laos, 1596 m elevation.
