Hoa Binh Crocodile Newt (Raffaëlli, 2022, Salamanders & Newts of the World: 284).

Distribution

Phu Canh Nature Reserve, Da Bac District and Thuong Tien Nature Reserve, Lac Son District in Hoa Binh Province, and Xuan Son National Park, Tan Son District, Phu Tho Province, Vietnam, in tropical broadleaf forests.

Comment

According to the original publication, this taxon has previously been confused with Tylototriton vietnamensis from Phu Tho Province, Vietnam, and Tylototriton asperrimus and Tylototriton cf. asperrimus from Lai Chau, Lao Cai, Hoa Binh, Phu Tho, and Lac Son provinces, Vietnam. In the Tylototriton (Yaotritonasperrimus species group of Poyarkov, Nguyen, and Arkhipov, 2021, Taprobanica, 10: 4–22, who discussed phylogenetics.
