Sin’s Knobby Newt (original publication). 


Currently known only from Mount Yunkai and the neighboring Mount Ehuangzhang, both in the Yunkai Mountains of western Guangdong, China. 


The sister taxon of Tylototriton hainanensis, in the Tylototriton asperrimus group, and previously confused with Tylototriton asperrimus according to the original publication.
