Distribution
Known from only Doi Soi Malai, Mae Tuen Wildlife Sanctuary, Tak Province, northwestern Thailand; expected to be found more widely in habitat.

Comparative external morphology, morphometrics, skull morphology, and molecular markers detailed in the original publication, which noted that previously this lineage had been considered part of Tylototriton uyenoi.
