Caecilia bokermanni Taylor, 1968, Caecilians of the World: 359. Holotype: KU 200984 (formerly WCAB 234), by original designation. Type locality: "Chicherota, Río Bobonaza, Napo-Pastaza, Ecuador".

Common Names

Bokermann's Caecilian (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 23).

Distribution

Known only from the type locality (Chicherota, eastern Ecuador) and Mamcayacu, Amazonas, Colombia; presumably in intervening Amazonian Peru.

Natural Resident: Colombia, Ecuador

Lynch, 2000 "1999", Rev. Acad. Colomb. Cienc. Exact. Fis. Nat., 23: 323, reported this species for Colombia. Taylor and Peters, 1974, Univ. Kansas Sci. Bull., 50: 340, commented on the original description.
