Caecilia occidentalis Taylor, 1968, Caecilians of the World: 413. Holotype: FMNH 189202 according to Marx, 1976, Fieldiana, Zool., 69: 34 (formerly EHT-HMS 4665, by original designation). Type locality: "near Popayan, Cauca, Colombia".

Distribution

Known from the vicinity of the towns of Moscopán and Popayán, in Departamento del Cauca, (Pubenza Valley), and Pance, Valle del Cauca (on the eastern slopes of the Cordillera Occidental), from 1350–1800 m elevation
