Comment

Lynch, 2000 "1999", Rev. Acad. Colomb. Cienc. Exact. Fis. Nat., 23: 329, reported the Colombian record, which subsequently (Fernández-Roldán and Lynch, 2023, Zootaxa, 5270: 194–206) was named as a separate species, Caecilia wilkinsoni, and who discussed the status, comparative morphology, and relationships of this species. Coloma and Duellman, 2025, Amph. Ecuador. Vol. 4: 339, provided an account (including the suggestion of conspecificity with Caecilia equatorialis) which summarized identification, morphology, systematics, distribution (including a dot map for Ecuador), and conservation.
