Crotaphatrema bornmuelleri (Werner, 1899)

Herpele bornmuelleri Werner, 1899, Verh. Zool. Bot. Ges. Wien, 49: 144. Holotype: NHMW 14859 according to Häupl and Tiedemann, 1978, Kat. Wiss. Samml. Naturhist. Mus. Wien, 2: 9, and Gemel, Gassner, and Schweiger, 2019, Ann. Naturhist. Mus. Wien, Ser. B, 121: 38. Type locality: "Victoria [now Limbé]", Cameroon. This locality doubted by Lawson, 2000, Herpetologica, 56: 79–80, who suggested that the likely collection site of the holotype was likely at higher elevation at or near "Buea, a town located on the southeastern face of the mountain [Mount Cameroon]".

Distribution

Known only from the doubtful type locality (Limbé, coastal Cameroon) or possibly on the slopes of Mount Cameroon.
