Comment
The phylogenetic placement of this taxon was discussed by Tu, Yang, Liang, and Zhang, 2018, Mol. Phylogenet. Evol., 126: 90, in their study of microhylid molecular phylogenetics, finding it either the sister taxon of all other microhylids or the sister of Gastrophryninae, but surprisingly finding these results to be inconsistent with recognizing the subfamily.
