Eurycea arenicola Stuart, Beamer, Farrington, Beane, Chek, Pusser, Som, Stephan, Sever, and Braswell, 2020, Herpetologica, 76: 430. Holotype: NCSM 79040, by original designation. Type locality: "North Carolina, Moore County, 8.7 air-kilometers (air km) WSW center of Pinebluff, alive on secondary road (SR) 1004 (= Hoffman Road), 0.1 road kilometers (rd km) NNW of Drowning Creek (= Richmond County line), 35.06600°N, 79.55000°W, 89 m elevation (elev.)".

Distribution

Known only from the sandhills physiographic region of North Carolina (USA), with vouchered localities in Harnett, Hoke, Montgomery, Moore, Richmond, Robeson, and Scotland counties, and likely to occur in Cumberland county.
