Arthroleptis (Arthroleptulus) crusculum Angel, 1950, Bull. Mus. Natl. Hist. Nat. Paris, Ser. 2, 22: 559. Holotype: MNHNP, by original designation. Type locality: "piste de Bié (altitude 1.000 mètres) au bord d'un marigot, sous forêt galerie", Mount Nimba, Guinea.

Mount Nimba, Guinea and Ivory Coast, to Loma Mountains and Tingi Hills, Sierra Leone, 500 to 1750 m elevation.

Noted to be similar to Arthroleptis poecilonotus by Perret, 1991, Bull. Soc. Neuchatel. Sci. Nat., 114: 71–76. Frétey, 2008, Alytes, 25: 99–172, summarized the literature and reported the species from Sierra Leone, but without a specific locality.
