Documented from primary montane forest in Mamiwa Kisara North Forest Reserve (MKNFR) at elevations between 1903 and 2041 m, although probably somewhat more broadly distributed in the Ukaguru Mountains, Tanzania.

Comment
The sister taxon of Arthroleptis nikeae according to the original publication, where comparative morphology, advertisement call, and molecular markers were detailed.
