Comment
Placed in the synonymy of Leptopelis flavomaculatus by Laurent, 1973, Ann. Mus. R. Afr. Cent., Tervuren, Ser. Octavo, Sci. Zool., 202: 59, but provisionally resurrected by Poynton, 1985, S. Afr. J. Sci., 81: 467, and Poynton and Broadley, 1987, Ann. Natal Mus., 28: 168-169. Channing and Rödel, 2019, Field Guide Frogs & Other Amph. Afr.: 396, regarded this nominal taxon as too insufficiently known to treat adequately in their fieldguide, a likely synonym of Leptopelis flavomaculatus.
