Comment

Not assignable to species group of Eleutherodactylus according to the original publication. Caramaschi and Niemeyer, 2005, Herpetol. Rev., 36: 199, provided the first documented record for Brazil and provided the range of the species. Formerly in the Pristimantis (Pristimantis) unistrigatus species group of Hedges, Duellman, and Heinicke, 2008, Zootaxa, 1737: 128, prior to its transfer to Ceuthomantidae by Heinicke, Duellman, Trueb, Means, MacCulloch, and Hedges, 2009, Zootaxa, 2211: 16. See Barrio-Amorós, Rojas-Runjaic, and Señaris, 2019, Amph. Rept. Conserv., 13 (1: e180): 31, for comments on range, taxonomy, and literature. Señaris and Rojas-Runjaic, 2020, in Rull and Carnaval (eds.), Neotrop. Divers. Patterns Process.: 571–632, commented on range and conservation status in the Venezuelan Guayana.
