Comment

Discussed by Lynch and La Marca, 1993, Caribb. J. Sci., 29: 133-146. Specimens from Mérida Andes referred to Eleutherodactylus williamsi by Durant, 1977, Herpetol. Rev., 8 (3—Suppl.): 7, are probably Eleutherodactylus vanadise according to E. La Marca in Frost, 1985, Amph. Species World: 330. In the Eleutherodactylus (Eleutherodactylus) martinicensis series, unassigned to species group according to Lynch and Duellman, 1997, Univ. Kansas Mus. Nat. Hist. Spec. Publ., 23: 220. In the subgenus Pristimantis, but unnassigned to species group according toHedges, Duellman, and Heinicke, 2008, Zootaxa, 1737: 118, and Padial, Grant, and Frost, 2014, Zootaxa, 3825: 127. See photograph, map, description of geographic range and habitat, and conservation status (as Eleutherodactylus bicumulus) in Stuart, Hoffmann, Chanson, Cox, Berridge, Ramani, and Young, 2008, Threatened Amph. World: 322. See Barrio-Amorós, Rojas-Runjaic, and Señaris, 2019, Amph. Rept. Conserv., 13 (1: e180): 113, for comments on range and literature.
