Forests of the slopes and piedmont of the Cordillera Oriental in the departments of Cundinamarca, Caqueta, Casanare, and Meta (450–1800 m), Colombia.

Comment

In the Eleutherodactylus conspicillatus group according to the original publication, possibly the sister species of Eleutherodactylus vilarsi. In the Eleutherodactylus (Eleutherodactylus) conspicillatus series, Eleutherodactylus conspicillatus group of Lynch and Duellman, 1997, Univ. Kansas Mus. Nat. Hist. Spec. Publ., 23: 228. Malambo-L. and Marin-V., 2006, Herpetol. Rev., 37: 87, provided a record for Caqueta, Colombia. In the Pristimantis conspicillatus species group of Padial, Grant, and Frost, 2014, Zootaxa, 3825: 125. Acosta-Galvis, 2017, Biota Colomb., 18: 282–315, reported the species from the Municipality of Yopal, Casanare Department, Colombia. In the Pristimantis conspicillatus group, Pristimantis nicefori clade of Fouquet, Réjaud, Rodrigues, Ron, Chaparro, Osorno-Muñoz, Werneck, Hrbek, Lima, Camacho-Badani, Jaramillo-Martinez, and Chave, 2022, Syst. Biodiversity, 20(1: 2130464): 1–16, who reported on phylogenetics and biogeography, and implied that the nominal species is composed of at least two lineage-species.
