Type locality: "Culebra (08°52′14″N, 82°25′12″W), head waters of Río Changuinola, Distrito de Bocas del Toro, Provincia de Bocas del Toro, República de Panamá, 1000 m".

Comment

Most similar to Eleutherodactylus cruentus according to the original publication. In the Eleutherodactylus (Eleutherodactylus) martinicensis series, Eleutherodactylus unistrigatus group according to Lynch and Duellman, 1997, Univ. Kansas Mus. Nat. Hist. Spec. Publ., 23: 228. In the Pristimantis (Hypodictyon) ridens species group of Hedges, Duellman, and Heinicke, 2008, Zootaxa, 1737: 114, and in the Pristimantis ridens species group of Padial, Grant, and Frost, 2014, Zootaxa, 3825: 126.
