Type locality: "El Chagüitón (14° 30′ N, 88° 48′ W), elevation 1830 m, 18.8 km SE Corquín, Cordillera, [sic] de Celaque, Departamento de Ocotepque, Honduras".

Distribution
Atlantic versant near the continental divide in the Cordillera de Celaque in the Departamento de Lempira and Departamento de Ocotepeque, western Honduras, 1400–1900 m elevation.
