Distribution

Known only from two localities in the Huallaga River basin, at elevations between 1450 and 1770 m, Huánuco department, central Peru.

The sister taxon of Oreobates shunkusacha, according to the original publication, where comparative adult morphology and morphology were detailed, and a dot map of distributed provided.
