Distribution

Known on the Pacific slope of Colombia in the departments of Valle del Cauca and Nariño  and in northern Ecuador in the provinces of Carchi and Esmeraldas, 40 to 600 m elevation.

Comment

In the Pristimantis (Hypodictyon) rubicundus group according to the original publication. Coloma and Duellman, 2025, Amph. Ecuador. Vol. 3: 49–51, provided an account with photographs which summarized morphological identification, systematics, natural history, distribution (including a dot map for Ecuador), and conservation.
