Southern part of the eastern slope of the Andes in Loja Province, Ecuador, 2768 to 3133 m elevation.

Comment

In the Pristimantis orestes species group, previously confused with Pristimantis orestes, according to the original publication. Coloma and Duellman, 2025, Amph. Ecuador. Vol. 3: 97–99, provided an account with photographs which summarized morphological identification, systematics, natural history, distribution (including a dot map for Ecuador), and conservation.
