Comment

Previously confused with Pristimantis calcarulatus according to the original publication. Proaño, Proaño-Morales, and Guayasamin, 2022, Ecosistemas, 31 (2: 2137): 1–9, reported a collection from the Sierra de Toisán, Imbabura, Ecuador, and provided a new maximum elevation record. Coloma and Duellman, 2025, Amph. Ecuador. Vol. 3: 105–107, provided an account with photographs which summarized morphological identification, systematics, natural history, distribution (including a dot map for Ecuador), and conservation.
