Cloud forest of Catamayo-Alamor in the Cordillera Oriental of Zamora Chinchipe and Loja Provinces, Ecuador at 3096 to 3477 m elevation.

Comment

In the Pristimantis (Huicundomantis) phoxocephalus species group according to Páez and Ron, 2019, ZooKeys, 868: 27. Coloma and Duellman, 2025, Amph. Ecuador. Vol. 3: 113–115, provided an account with photographs which summarized morphological identification, systematics, natural history, distribution (including a dot map for Ecuador), and conservation.
