Distribution

Amazonian evergreen lowlands and piedmont of eastern Ecuador (Napo, Orellana, Pastaza, Morona-Santiago, and Zamora-Chinchipe provinces) and northern Loreto Department in Peru, 220 to 1027 m elevation.

In the Pristimantis acuminatus group, and previous confused with Pristimantis acuminatus, according to the original publication. Coloma and Duellman, 2025, Amph. Ecuador. Vol. 3: 152–153, provided an account with photographs which summarized morphological identification, systematics, natural history, distribution (including a dot map for Ecuador), and conservation.
