Distribution
Currently known only from the municipalities of Bahía Solano and Nuquí, in the department of Chocó, 17 to 456 m elevation, but may possibly be found further north and/or south in the Pacific region of Colombia.

In the Pristimantis (Hypodictyon) ridens group according to the original publication, where comparative morphology, advertisement call, distribution, and natural history were detailed.
